Actor Refutes Anti-Vaccine Views Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Coronavirus Documentary

Liam Neeson has lent his vocal talents to a recent film that challenges the safety of vaccines and praises former health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Provocative Basis

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a well-known publication co-authored by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for assertions that the illness was a result of a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

The publication's collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with controversial media personality Alex Jones. Heckenlively took to social media celebrating Neeson's participation in the film.

An Unequivocal Statement

A spokesperson for Neeson have issued a statement firmly refuting claims that he subscribes to anti-immunization views.

"We all understand that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that should never be equated to rejection of vaccines," the statement explains. "Neeson has never been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with Unicef reinforces his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

It continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the documentary's messaging and that concerns about its assertions should be directed to the filmmakers.

Central Assertions In the Documentary

As presented, the script read by Neeson includes several provocative statements:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have called for "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It posits that "medical science has become deeply politicised."
  • Kennedy is shown claiming, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • It further attacks stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it cites a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Context and Ongoing Issues

The documentary further cites a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a formal apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

Recently, RFK Jr instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is also referenced in the film, despite a new report from the WHO stating no evidence has been found.

A Past Statement of Advocacy

Contrasting the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past voiced strong support for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," stating that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

The film concludes with Neeson's script saying, "This is not the finish of our narrative. Rather, it is the dawn of a new chapter."
