The House investigative committee has published a collection of around 70 photographs from the estate of former adjudicated sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the latest in a series of publication from a tranche of more than 95,000 photos the committee has secured from Epstein's estate. It includes photographs of quotes from the novel Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and obscured photos of women's foreign passports.

This disclosure arrives hours before the 19 December deadline for the Department of Justice to make public all files associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These new photographs raise more questions about precisely what the DOJ has in its possession," said the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Made Public

A number of the images published on recently depict Epstein speaking with academic and activist Noam Chomsky on a private jet; Bill Gates positioned alongside a female whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the most recent affluent, powerful men to be photographed in Epstein estate photographs published by the House Oversight Committee - earlier published photos also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Appearing in the photos is does not constitute proof of any illegal activity, and several of the pictured figures have asserted they were in no way involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a press release accompanying the image release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer background information or dates for the pictures.

"Photos were selected to offer the public with clarity into a typical cross-section of the photographs acquired from the property, and to provide perspectives into Epstein's network and his profoundly disturbing actions," the statement states.

The disclosure also includes several photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita penned in ink across several locations of a female's body, such as her chest, lower extremity, hipbone, and rear. Lolita tells the story of a young girl who was manipulated by a older literature professor.

An example of a quote from the novel inscribed across a woman's torso says, "Lolita's name: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a series of photographs of women's identification and official papers from countries globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the papers, like names and DOBs, is obscured but the House Oversight Committee indicated in a announcement that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were interacting with".

A further photo shows Epstein sitting at a desk in close proximity surrounded by three individuals whose identities have been obscured - a first has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his garment, and a second is bending to look at a nearby device. Epstein can be seen to be aiding the third individual put on a bracelet.

A further photograph disclosed is a image of text messages from an unidentified person who states they have been sent "some girls" and are requesting "$one thousand dollars per female".

Image Publication Comes Prior to DOJ Deadline

The committee has a vast number of photographs in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "at once explicit and mundane," its press release on this week clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and files the Epstein estate submitted to the body are distinct from what is largely called "Epstein-related records". Those are papers within the DOJ's custody connected to its separate investigation into Epstein.

Under the Transparency Act, which Donald Trump made law recently, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its files. The full nature of the contents included in the DOJ's files is not publicly known, and it's probable that a significant portion of the information will be extensively censored, comparable to Congressional materials
