The president stated he’s discussed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” the president informed reporters. “And likewise with Andrew, recover or not.”

Public Support

Mourners came together over the weekend at a local school in the state to pay respects to Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to assist policing efforts in DC.

Honoring Beckstrom

“She was the kind of student that teachers wished for. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a contagious smile and a positive energy that lifted people around her,” the principal, the leader of Beckstrom’s former high school, informed the media. “She was kind, caring and always willing to assist people.”

Funeral plans for Beckstrom are still being arranged.

Legal Actions and Government Revisions

The tragedy caused the government to halt asylum processing and cease granting visas to possessors of travel documents.

Status of Wolfe

Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, per the Associated Press.
