'The all-time low': Donald Trump rails against Time magazine's 'super bad' cover picture.

This is a glowing article in a magazine that Donald Trump has long exalted – with one exception. The magazine's cover photo, the president decreed, ""could be the worst ever".

Time's praise to Trump's role in mediating a Gaza ceasefire, headlining its early November edition, was paired with a photo of Trump shot from a low angle while the sun behind his head.

The result, the president asserts, is ""terrible".

"Time wrote a quite favorable story about me, but the picture may be the most awful ever", Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“My hair was obscured, and then there was a shape over my head that appeared as a suspended diadem, but quite miniature. Very odd! I have consistently disliked being photographed from below, but this is a extremely poor image, and it should be denounced. What are they doing, and why?”

The president has expressed obvious his ambition to appear on Time magazine's front page and achieved this four times last year. The preoccupation has made it as far as the president's resorts – previously, the magazine asked him to remove mocked up covers exhibited in some of his properties.

The most recent cover image was shot by a photographer for Bloomberg at the White House on 5 October.

Its angle highlighted negatively the president's jawline and throat – an opening that the governor of California Gavin Newsom seized, with his press office sharing an altered image with the criticized section pixelated.

{The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been released under the initial stage of Donald Trump's peace plan, together with a freeing of Palestinian inmates. This agreement may become a defining accomplishment of Trump's second term, and it might signify a pivotal moment for the region.

Simultaneously, a defense of Trump's image has come from an unexpected source: the communications chief at Russia’s ministry of foreign affairs intervened to denounce the "damaging" image choice.

It's remarkable: a photo reveals far more about those who chose it than about the individual pictured. Just unwell persons, people obsessed with malice and animosity –possibly even deviants – could have chosen such a photo", Maria Zakharova posted on her social channel.

In light of the positive pictures of President Biden that that magazine used on the cover, despite his physical infirmity, the situation is self-revealing for the publication", she added.

The explanation for Trump’s questions – what were Time’s editors doing, and why? – could be related to innovatively depicting a feeling of authority stated by Carly Earl, a media professional.

The photograph technically is well-executed," she notes. "They picked this image because they wanted the president to look commanding. Looking up at a person gives a sense of their majesty and Trump’s face actually looks thoughtful and almost a bit ethereal. It's rare you see photos of Trump in such a calm instance – the picture feels tender."

His hair looks erased because the sunlight behind him has washed out that area of the image, generating a radiant circle, she says. And, while the feature's heading pairs nicely with Trump’s expression in the image, "it's impossible to satisfy the subject matter."

Few people appreciate being photographed from below, and even if all of the artistic aspects of the image are highly effective, the visual appeal are not flattering."

The publication contacted the magazine for feedback.
