Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, who helped create the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated game designer died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
