Ways the Denver Broncos together with the flexible QB can end the Kansas City Chiefs' rule.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season
Live coverage features text commentary of Sunday's games on various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, audio coverage is available through select stations for another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).
It's week six of the football calendar , following last week's talk about two top teams as possible championship contenders, they both lost their unbeaten records.
Striking in those games was the amount of penalties each committed. Philadelphia did so in key moments so they kind of defeated themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the fourth period versus the Denver Broncos, set to play in London this Sunday.
However it proved good to observe how Denver quarterback the rookie was able to have that deficit and then direct three successful possessions on three possessions during the final period, to win the victory by four points.
Denver boast the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They are first in goal-line defense, while the Eagles are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos prevailed in that battle.
They executed the Eagles' number regarding simulated pressure. They did not always rushing extra pass rushers instead they might position two linebackers in the interior before withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.
At the start of the season, it was noted on a program that the Broncos could be this season's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year strongly then excelled in continuing that momentum.
Could Denver be this year's dark horses?
New tight end their tight end has stepped up big and new running back JK Dobbins is a player the team trusts. He now ranks fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).
I love that head coach Sean Payton has "RUSH!" at the top on his call sheet.
This demonstrates how the Broncos are a team aiming to prioritize the run, since one can do a lot off the back of that. It slows opposing rushes and maintains in positive situations.
This has benefited quarterback Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as a first-round selection last year, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to throw all over, but they don't move the mobility that Nix has. He boasts incredible arm talent, which is different, and he's highly agile.
His strengths are his mobility, the capacity to throw on the run, and using different arm angles to deliver the pass as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to deliver that layered pass across the middle and over the corner.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he's got a lot of poise under pressure and is not bothered by extra rushers. He aims to evade a sack as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He has sharp intelligence and is very decisive.
If you constantly run the ball it eats up the clock and forces the opponent to be on the field extended periods, and if you've got an athletic quarterback the defence has to defend the area downfield and horizontally. This proves exhausting.
Nix has pushed back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and I think Payton likes that attitude, that he's such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to have a rookie QB that is similar to moldable clay. The coach can truly build something up how he desires to build it. I think it's a special experience for the coach.
Payton has won a Super Bowl and has surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the success Denver are having on offence is largely due to his guidance, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB aids make him what he is.
There's no better a better guy guiding you, to help you during some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.
I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But is the team good enough to face a top squad at full strength? Because that wasn't championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.
Right now, it's unlikely Denver are incredible. They're working better than most, that's a good place to hold the AFC West. The key is to continue this path.
They're really good at leaning into their forte, that is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.
The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (10th worst), and they are the only team without a win any game.
Since the NFL began tracking takeaways decades ago, this team are also the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach was previously defensive co-ordinator with another team.
The Chiefs' QB stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.
Following the upcoming matchup, Denver face a smooth-ish schedule up to their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders before the Chiefs.
In the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the division.
It depends on what version of the Chiefs they face since Denver {beat|def
